Drains and disposals in the SGV

A sink or tub that drains slowly, or a disposer that hums or leaks, is usually a fix at the fixture. Text (310) 628-9399 with what is happening.

Bathroom drains

Hair and soap collect at the sink pop-up and the tub linkage. We pull and clean those parts, then open the trap or run a short hand cable.

No caustic chemicals: they rarely clear hair and leave a hazard in the pipe for the next repair.

Garbage disposals

Humming without spinning means a jam; power off, then a hex wrench in the bottom socket frees it. Silence usually means the reset button tripped.

Leaks at the sink ring or the side hoses are repaired in place. A leak from the body means a like-for-like replacement.

When it is the main line

Several drains slowing together, or water rising in a tub when the toilet flushes, means the blockage is in the main. We root it with a powered machine; see drain rooting.
